Room 5: Care

Experiences of care, kindness and love are documented, celebrated and shared in this room. Care has been a vital aspect of both political and personal responses to the pandemic. Governments and individuals have been scrutinised for their capacity to care. Inadequate social policies and healthcare systems have exemplified society’s failure to care. Care workers have been revalorised in the public eye even if still not properly recompensed. Alternative systems of community care have become essential to the survival of those who exist on the margins.
